Ladies’ Tea with Kim Phuc Phan Thi, the ‘Napalm Girl’

On Saturday, October 19, 2024, we will be hosting a ladies’ luncheon with guest speaker Kim Phuc Phan Thi who will share her story from the horrors of war to love, hope, and forgiveness. If you or someone you know is struggling with anger or bitterness, this is a great opportunity to learn from someone who overcame life-threatening torment and sorrow achieving one of the most incredible victories of our time.

All ladies are welcome; invite a friend. Please let us know if you plan to attend (including any guests) so we can make adequate preparation.

Our Guest Speaker

Kim Phuc Phan Thi is known around the world as “The Girl in the Picture” and the “Napalm Girl.” In 1972, age 9, she was immortalized in a Pulitzer Prize-winning photograph that shows her screaming and running naked down a road in Trang Bang, Vietnam, after having her clothes burned off by napalm. A living symbol of the atrocities of war, she is a UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador and the founder of The KIM Foundation International, a nonprofit dedicated to helping child-victims of war, violence, and deprivation. Kim is the author of Fire Road, her personal memoir, which has been translated into ten languages.
